The Championnat Sirius is now holding its eight edition in the beautiful equestrian Olympic park of Bromont. This year again dogs and their owners are invited to enjoy this marvelous area. Autumn colors will be part of the scenery in the magnificent trails of Mount Oak. It will be a pleasant day to practice harnessed dog sports with our favorite canine partners. Start training to be ready!
Races :
- Canicross: 2 km, 5 km (sanctioned FQSCA, IFSS), 10 km canitrail
- Bikejoring: 1 and 2 dogs 2 km, 1 dog 5km (sanctioned FQSCA, IFSS)
- Scooter: 1 and 2 dogs 3.8 km (sanctioned FQSCA , IFSS)
- Kart: 4 and 4 dogs 5 km (sanctioned FQMECA)
If you are either looking for a performance or just for leisure, Sirius races are accessible to all! Whatever your level of physical training or the breed of your dog, there is a race for you. We expect around 250 runners with their dogs. Join the pack, you will become your dog’s hero.
This year again to continue developing harnessed dog sports and a greater variety, we will be offering 4 and 6 kart races. The large steeplechase is perfect to host these teams on an adapted trail. A show to watch them race down the park. Be sure to make it !
If you don’t have a dog, you can’t adopt one for the run but you can rent an experienced dog ($20) or you can rent equipment ($10) at the Sirius booth. However you need to make a reservation at info@siriussportscanins.com .
Summary of Rules
-
- All dogs must be held on leash during the whole day.
- No misbehavior (barking, aggressive behavior, interference etc) will not be tolerated.
- You need to keep your dog under control at all times.
- Dog owners are responsible of keeping the site clean.
- Proper equipment (belt, bungee and harness) is required for all races.
- A helmet is require for all bikejoring, scooter and kart races.
- During the race your dog must never interfere with other runners
- Keep your bungee short at the departure and when passing.
- Rules from the FQSCA and FQMECA will be used as reference :

During the on line registration you will be asked to select which group you would like to be part of. The organizing committee will have the final decision in adjusting the group participants based on rankings from :
